Famous Scientist Poster

Yesterday I went over part of the syllabus but with fire drills and passing out papers I didn't get through the whole thing.  I plan to finish the syllabus today.  After the initial intro for the class I plan to properly introduce myself.  Hiking, farming, sustainable living, and walking are some of my favorite things to do.  My wife and I go to the YMCA every morning before school and I walk to work.  I am a vegetarian and I try very hard to not eat meat.  In my free time when I want to relax I like to read a good book.  Currently I'm reading Peter and Starchasers by Dave Barry.
The students are being assigned a project today.  It will be due on Sept. 1st.  That gives them two weekends to work on project.  Today I will assign the famous scientist poster project.  The assignment can be viewed here.  It is a big project so please help your student complete this assignment.
After I get the project out of the way I will try to get down some of the students names.  Every year getting the names down is hard and it usually takes about a week or more.
The start up for the day is "What is the coolest science lab you've ever done?"
