Seeing is Believing

Today I plan on showing my students a great puzzle.  The puzzle consists of a few interesting ideas that do not seem possible, like a paint stirrer being broken by a piece of newspaper or how a flame can be enticed to move toward a person trying to blow it out.  There will be a discussion about gravity and how a feather and a hammer can hit the ground at the same time on the moon.
The activity is the first paper they should keep in their notebooks.  Here is the link.

Finally the students have been concerned about how to get color on their Famous Scientist project if they do not have a color printer.  There are two options for this.  First, use colored pencils.  Second, submit the project electronically to me using my dropbox located on the right side of this page under "upload your work."  The password for uploading work is in fact "password"  So if your concerned about getting the project turned in then you can just upload it.
The startup for today is "what is density?"
