Every Drop Counts

Comp. Apps.
You'll be working on typing club for 15 min. Then you will be continuing your project of placing your head somewhere else.

Seventh
You'll be working with a felt atom today to see all the parts of an atom and to try and understand how the parts of an atom make each atom different.  I will draw a Hydrogen atom on the board so you can see where the parts go then I will check your atom for accuracy.
We will then expand outward to look at a water molecule.  Water is made of one Oxygen atom and two Hydrogen atoms.  You'll be building a water molecule using a chemistry kit.
Finally we will see some of the properties a water molecule has by playing a game called Every Drop Counts.  You'll try to see how many drops of water you can get on the top of a penny before the water roles off.

Eighth
You'll be going over the notes from yesterday first.  Make sure you pay special attention to the description of the simple machines.  After we've gone over the answers we will be playing a game at brainpop called Simple Machines.  Once you've beaten all four levels and understand how simple machines work you should watch the simple machines video and take the quiz.  Remember the login is elkinsms and the password is gearup.
