We worked on the moon calendar yesterday. The kids needed to finish it up last night for homework. Today we are going to go over the notes from Tuesday first. Then we are going to create a model of how satellites stay in orbit.
What keeps satellites up there is a lab that shows how gravity and centripetal force balance to keep satellites in orbit.
The start up is "draw a picture of the moon for all the following phases."
- Full Moon
- Waning Gibbous
- Third Quarter
- Waning Crescent
- New Moon
- Waxing Crescent
- First Quarter
- Waxing Gibbous
