T.A.L.K.S (how to make a quality graph)

Last week the students and I began working on collecting data and I asked them to create a graph.  This assignment is designed as a precursor to see what they know before I teach them so I don't focus on something my student already know.  Today I will be taking up the graph attempts they created for homework.  I'm not grading for accuracy obviously, I haven't them how to graph yet, but I am grading for completion.  I can't see what they know if they don't try.
After we evaluate the graph quality we will discuss the notes describing how to create a quality graph.  The T.A.L.K.S principle is a simple means for remembering how to create a good graph.  These notes should go in their notebook.

The start up for today is "What are some good things to include in a graph?"
